Remembering Hiraya Manawari

Hiraya Manawari is the long time fairy tale series of ABS-CBN. This TV show is generally for kids, lessons about discipline, love, respect, good manners, courage ,honesty etc. The episodes sometimes are journeys to a magical land, meet magical creatures, battling evil forces or simply in the real world with children having their problem to solve.

as far as I can remember, the first episode I saw in Hiraya was about that boy who took care of a star that tells whether a storm will be coming to their planet. Hiraya was a good show. I was eager to wake up at 9 am before just to watch Hiraya, I kinda miss the show.

  1. I was the boy you’re talking about, the one who took care of the star, I was 13 years old when I portrayed the role. Now I’m 35, and still looking for a copy of that episode. Hopefully I can get a copy 😊

  3. Marami tlgang natututunan sa ganyang mga palabas kahit ako gustong gusto ko talaga yan noon pa . Sana ibalik ulit nila yan para naman may matutunan ang mga bata at hindi puro cartoons .

  9. i named my daughter “raya” (short for soraya) but i got the inspiration from “hiraya”. gusto ko nga sana hiraya manawari para ethnic sounding. kaya lang baka naman masyadong ethnic sounding.

  14. ..i have the same feeling regarding dun sa nkkaawa kong mga kapatid dahil di nakanood ng mga ganitong shows…Puro anime at cartoons kasi ang mga npapanood nila na palaging merong nag-aaway pa nga.kaya ayun, yun ang natututunan nila 😦

    akala ko mgagawan ko ng paraan, I was recently browsing for the videos of Hiraya manawari(my favorite among the rest) para ipanood sa kanila pero puro putol n episode..

    Sana talaga ibalik yung mga ganung programa. Nananawagan ako sa ABS because i can’t afford to buy all the DVDs since I am just a college student.Thanks ^_^

    Nga pala, ano pong name ng artista na gumanap na Ate dun s hiraya manawari episode na “Ate” ? Idol ko kasi dati yun .pero wla akong pakialam s name noon dahil grade 1 p lng ako nung pinalabas yun.hehe:)

  18. call abascbn foundation, e-media program.
    They are the one handling the educational shows. I beleive you may also buy copies. The program is distributing it thru donations sa public elem schools. Swerte nga yung schools na nabibigyan nila.:)
    As in i set of hiraya, bayani, sineskwela… etc yung binibigay nila

  20. i accidentally dropped by because of the current going-on in facebook..you know, the anti-child violence stuff..seeing those cartoon profile pics kinda remind me of my own childhood..lol..so, hiraya, just like the cartoons down my memory lane, was a very inspiring show..and yes, the first one i’ve watched was about that boy guarding a star..lol..and i miss so many episodes of this show..particularly the one about antonnete taus seeking for cure for her dying mother.. 🙂 thanks for this!!

  21. i remember the first episode! i think it was Agimat~ then a story about little elves? it was like a race, there’s a good girl and 3 sisters 2 of the oldest are bad I only remember Pikona coz she was Olga in Familia Zaragoza, she was in some Hiraya eps like the volleyball girls who was trapped by this guy with a weird laugh, it was about teamwork…and the lazy muslim princess!

  23. Guys u can still get a copy of the DVDs ng Hirayamanawari/Bayani/ Sineskwela etc… call abscbn foundation, sila may hawak nyan, pwede tingi or package ang bili

  24. musmos pa lang ako, di pa ako nag-aaral, pinapanood ko na yan.
    “so let your dreams come true” pala ang meaning ng Hiraya Manawari.. After long long years, ngayon ko lang nalaman ang meaning nun.. Ngayong 4th year college na ako,, Pilit ko talagang iniisip nung meaning nya.. pero pano naging ganun ang meaning?,,Ibang language ba yun? Anong language?? Pinaka-favorite ko palang episode is yung “Palaruan”, nakakaiyak talaga yung episode na yun.. Yun yung first time na umiyak ako sa isang tv show.. Sana makabili ako ng mga dvd ng hiraya..

  31. hi to ABS CBN. hey miss na miss na po namin ang mga episodes of hiraya manawari, bayani, sineskwela, mathinik, wansapanataym and other movies for kids. these movies have a lots of lesson we truly cherish and appreciate. pls po pakibalik naman ang mga movies na ito. and as of now, san po ba makakaavail ng mfga dvd’s nito? pls response yung mga nakakaalam. tnx a lot.

  36. isang tanung … anu ung episode na may war n nangyari tpos un lalaki tumanda tpos ngalit sia sa plaboy nung pinakelaman ung music box na piano… ang ganda kc ng background music nun naaalala ko ung unting tunug pero malabo e… tnx!!!

  39. sana magbalik ang mga EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ng ABS-CBN like, hiraya manawari, wansapanataym, bayani, sineskwela, etc. super ganda kasi ng mga to kesa sa mga anime na nakakaimpluwensya pa sa mga kabataan.
    kakapulutan pa ng mga aral to.

  43. meron b sa inyong my kopya ng episodes? bayaran ko nalang.. yung boyfriend ko kasi now, used to appear on that show, nkwento nya sakin.. kaya lng ayaw niya sabhin sakin kung anong episodes. nahihiya ata.. haha.. gus2 ko lng xa gulatin, besides gaya niyo.. favorite ko rin to nung bata ako, sobra.. bago pumasok ng school tlgang nood muna tv along with bayani, sineskwela and mathtinik.. hehe..

  45. i hav a vhs of the 3 episodes of hiraya…bawat isang tape may tatlong episodes..ung episodes sakn ay: ang hiling ng palamuting anghel; ang puso ni pido kupido; ang masalimoot na hardin…i love watching hiraya..i wish i cud have ol the episodes..it’s bin 9 years since hiraya was first aired…and i’m alrady 22 years old now..
